This Was Fun is an original acrylic painting portraying that all bright lights, entertainment and even pleasure - all the "fun" humans can experience have an end.
Artist's Statement
Beneath crimson sunset clouds, in the stillness of a desert, lies a colossal sphinx... styled like a Vegas attraction, lit with soft yellow bulbs, her forehead embedded with a glowing projector. She’s the centerpiece of an open-air movie theatre, beaming light and illusions into the fading sky. Cars are scattered around her, guests snapping selfies, soaking in the spectacle. But look closer. The sphinx feels ancient, timeless, wise, and weary. On the screen: THE END. Is it just the final scene, or something more? A vision, maybe. A prophecy? Or simply the quiet truth we whisper at the close of every dream: This Was Fun.
